Traffic & Infrastructure Update

Speed Bumps, Sidewalks & PRT

Traffic safety enhancements are underway in the valley! Speed bumps were recently installed in front of Fowler Park, boosting safety for pedestrians and park visitors. The second phase of N Charles Street Traffic Calming has been successfully completed, and further traffic calming measures are planned for Perry South between Linwood Avenue and Perrysville Avenue. These improvements aim to ensure safer, more pedestrian-friendly streets.

In line with these efforts, CSAC is advocating for the addition of speed bumps in front of Mt. Carmel Church to further protect pedestrians and promote safe driving practices in high-traffic areas. Through these ongoing projects, we are committed to maintaining a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant community for everyone.

SHOUT out to Mistick Construction! Thanks for installing a new sidewalk at the inbound bus stop in the 2500 block of N Charles St- that PRT removed. Now that we Mistick has made the stop safe with this new sidewalk, we can request to have BOTH the inbound and Outbound bus stops back.

JOIN us to advocate! Call PRT Customer Service and Reference #140452: whch asks PRT to reinstate the vital inbound and outbound bus stops along the upper 2500 block of N Charles St. and decrease the inconvenient, .2 mil walk between bus stops. This new distance is worse than far; this is cruel and mean: especially for seniors and differently-abled.
