CSAC Is A Registered Community Organization!

The Charles Street Area Corporation is proud to announce that we have been approved as a Registered Community Organization.

RCO Status

On August 16, 2022, The Charles Street Area Corporation was approved as a Registered Community Organization (RCO) by the City of Pittsburgh's Department of City Planning. Our organization has worked diligently to obtain RCO status, because the designation enables us to:

  • Receive notification of public hearings for projects
  • Have guaranteed meetings with developers and applicants
  • Develop a Neighborhood Plan for the Planning Commission
We believe that by increasing communication about development projects before they begin, residents will have a greater capacity to share feedback and have their concerns addressed. 

CSAC will now convene public development activities meetings for our community.

All development activities within Charles Street Valley's boarder must have be publicized through an open community meeting where the public has an opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and vote.
