As we approach the end of our community-driven design process, it's almost time to start activating the North Charles Street Greenway! Charles Street Area Corporation (CSAC) and Student Conservation Association (SCA) are seeking paid stewards to bring this space to life on October 20 & 21, 2023.
Compensation
This is a temporary position paying $25.00 per hour, up to $500.00 in total (to be paid immediately after completion). Additional work days may become available in the future.
Responsibilities
Greenway Stewards will work with team members and volunteers to implement the North Charles Street Greenway entrance design.
- Participate in a paid training and site visit
- Plant native trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Create trails and paint the seating area
Requirements
Greenway Stewards must be 16+ years old and should be able to:
- Access Zoom to attend an online training (date TBD)
- Travel to the Charles Street Valley for work (10/20 & 10/21)
- Lift 40 lbs. and work physically (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM)
